A Hydrasive type static screen sieve for separating solids from water and/or other liquids such as cooking oils. This stationary screen is configured with a speical triangular-rod / wedge-wire screen specifically designed for liquid-solid separation screening, with very precise and consistent sieve opening sizes. Product in water or oil passes over the stationary screen. The liquid passes through the screen to a collection tank and drain, leaving the solids to pass over the screen for collection beneath. An ideal separator for wash-water recovery/reuse, and/or removing solids from waste water in industrial food processing plant applications such as peeling, coring, and grading operations for removing stems, seeds, leaves, and other foreign materials from rinse water.

• SIEVE SIZES: Standard sieve size openings run from .010 to .100, with other sieve sizes available to be priced upon request. The slide-out / slide-in interchangeable sieve screen is mounted in the stainless steel cabinet which includes an integral head box. Throughput rating for a .040 inch screen (for example) is approximately 840 gallons per minute of water, depending proportion and types of solids.
  
  

• OPERATION: Water is fed through a 6 inch inlet port with an 11 inch flanged connection, and builds in the head box until it overflows the weir and acclerates down the screen. At the top of the screen is a hinged, swing-up (for cleaning) dispersion baffle to help assure even, laminar water flow. As the solids and liquid travel down the screen, liquid is stripped away from the solids, flowing through the sieve screen and back into the catch chamber of the cabinet where it is discharged through a 8 inch diameter discharge outlet with a 13.5 inch flange connection, at the back side bottom of the cabinet. Solids continue down the screen due to the developed inertia, dropping off the bottom edge of the screen.
  
  

• SOLIDS REMOVAL: This type of water screener is usually mounted such that a bin or tote can be placed beneath the screen to catch the solids for removal (Alard can price a stand, available separately, to your height specification).
  
  
• CLEANING / SANITATION: The head box is open and easily cleaned of debris such as stones or other such "heavies" while there are 5.5" cleanout ports on each side of the cabinet to allow access for cleaning behind the screen. There are 1 inch drains with threaded female connections for washing / rinsing the head box and recovered water tank.
  
  
• BENEFITS: Static screen / stationary screen water recovery sieve has no moving parts, making it a low cost, low maintenance and long-lived dewatering system for reclaiming process water in food processing and other industrial process or municipal water treatment applications.
  
  
• MATERIALS: All NEW food grade T304 stainless steel construction, screen AND cabinet.
