Alard Model PWS6, six-roll continuous
peeler-washer which can be fitted
with any combination of brushes and / or abrasive rolls for peeling,
brush washing, scrubbing, or finishing of fruits and vegetables
such as
potatoes, beets, carrots, onions, cucumbers, pickles, apples, oranges
and others.
OPERATION:
Raw product is continuously fed to the peeling chamber and subjected to
the spinning rolls (abrasive and/or brushes as the case may be). It is
important that a sufficient amount of product be kept in the peeling
chamber during operation for best results. Lubricating and rinsing
action are provided in the chamber by overhead sprays, while the flow
of product through the machine is regulated both by the
adjustable-opening discharge gate, and the inclination of the machine.
